Hello JA community!
A donor recently shared a memory that has stuck with me.
“I was a JA kid in the 1960’s and I’ll never forget the experience of going to the National Junior Achievers Conference at Indiana University. In high school my team built a metal trivet, and it was flexible so different size pots and dishes could be placed on it. I sold stock to the ‘company’—my big investors were my parents and relatives who bought it for $1. And we sold out of our trivets. It was one of the most memorable experiences from high school—and led to the launch of a very long and successful career in sales.”
Stories like this are everywhere. In just one month on the job, I’ve been amazed by how many people light up when I mention Junior Achievement. Whether it’s a memory from school or a moment volunteering in the classroom, JA clearly makes a lasting impression.

I’m Kim Morgan, and I’m honored to serve as the new President of Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County.
The programs our students experience today have evolved, but the mission remains as critical as ever. In a rapidly changing world, JA continues to equip young people with financial literacy, career readiness skills, and the entrepreneurial thinking they need to shape their futures.
Were you a JA alumni? I’d love to hear your story. Email me at kmorgan@jagfc.org —I’m collecting JA memories and would love to include yours.
With a career dedicated to community impact, I’m passionate about helping young people build skills, confidence, and a sense of possibility. I feel fortunate to lead an organization with such a powerful legacy—and I can’t wait to see our programs in action as the school year begins this fall.
Warmly,
Kim
